I was downloading new programs onto my computer when I came across this website made for the Nintendo DS Wi-Fi community.
WiTendoFi has advanced stat tracking (on players and the servers), community forums to talk it up with all the other WFC users and to share your latest exploits online, WiFi Cards that let you show off your friend codes, and gaming hubs that give you up-to-date information about the wi-fi games you play.
Here's the link if anybody wants to sign up...

What's the term for this type of ad? Viral? Subversive? Obvious?

All it says is " If a user signs up with your referral URL, you will get credited for bringing them to WiTendoFi. " which I can care less about. I just thought it was a nice website to bring the Wi-Fi players together, because the NintendoWifi site is always lagging for me.
I'm gonna pistol whip the next guy that says shenanigans.

What's "credited"? More than just bragging rights?

If'n you don't care, as you claim, maybe you should edit the OP and remove the referral, or put one link to the main page and one link to your referral stating it as such. People don't like it when others try to sneakily get referrals.

Done....I didn't even think about that...thanks.

As I'm sure you're well aware, your link text claims it is to the main page, but the URL you're linking to is your referral. This makes what you're doing even sneakier because before you could claim ignorance and now it appears intentional. Way to go, fascist!

It still links to your referral... sneaky little bastard.

Dude, I was just trying to introduce a new site for Wi-Fi players. I said I don't care about the referral crap, and I even changed the link for you turds that keep thinking I'm getting something out of this. Whatevers man, just go to it if you want, and if you don't want to, then just ignore this. Stop making a big deal about it. This site is for gamers, not $hit talkers.

He's right, who really cares if he reffers you? Just delete the referel part and your good to go.
The site doesnt look to promising, thought Im still searching for sites like those, best yet are DSMeet (http://www.dsmeet.com/) and Friendcodes (http://www.friendcodes.com/)
It was just the fact that he was talking about how he didn't care about the referral, yet still hid it in the link when he "changed" it anyway. Who gives a fuck, right? It's not harmful, I know. But it is silly, and makes people look at you suspiciously.
And sorry buddy, believe what you want, but the entire internet is for "$hit talkers".
