I personally can't say I will or will not get this on launch. It's too iffy to see if it's worth the purchase, especially since I already own the original Lumines and will be getting it on the 360.

The song selection ties so heavily into the whole aspect of Lumines, that if the songs suck, the whole experience is ruined.

well, that's what I was implying... the songs that are sung are very few, while the rest are the traditional beeps and whatnot.

Why did they go with expensive licensed music when they could've done the same type of music as the original? Looks I'll be an importer also.

Importing may still have the same music tracks, so be warned.

i personally wish most of the sung songs were done in-house with the dev team, but oh well.

What they should have done was either: A) Skip the pop music and do original music or B) Duh, the PSP uses Memory sticks, let us use our own music straight off the sticks and create playlists etc.

A) This was pretty much what it was for the original Lumines, but sadly not part II

B) Programmig somethign like that would be a huge pain in the ass since the game runs by tempo mainly.

for all you importers there isnt even a release date for the Japanese version. For me I am sticking with Lumines I and spend the money on EEE

Lumines had Liscensed j-pop. Nobuchika eri had 2 songs, "Lights" Which was like level 99 and "I hear music in my soul" which was level 32 I believe. Also a few of the songs were done by Mondo Grosso, one of which was the level 1 song "SHININ". Not that much of a biggie, but they should of put either some singles yet to be released, or just went the underground route. Since I basically avoid the radio, most of this music will be kinda new to me

I can understand Fatboy Slim and Chemical Brothers at most. But fucking Hoobostank and Missy Elliot? I just can't hold back my excitement. :roll:

"Star Guitar" by Chemical Brothers is perfect for this game. And I'm a Beck fan so "Black Tambourine" will be cool.
But as far as Black Eyed Peas, Hoobastank, and Gwen Stefani - those are going to be hella annoying levels to play through.
