Yup, yup. 9:00 pm EST.
The show about a Serial Killer who also is a Detective in the police force will be on tomorrow. I'm hoping it lives it to my expectations.

Damn, and he always seemed like a pretty much good kid, just a little on the eccentric side.

Seriously, when I clicked I thought why the hell are they showing a cartoon from the 1990s on showtime?

I'll be watching it tomorrow night. It looks quite promising. I also thought at first this thread was referring to the cartoon.

Lets just hope there are no gay scenes. Had enough of that shit in Six Feet Under.
Maybe "Keith" will do a cameo and get killed by Dexter. I bet a lot of people would love to see that.

I think I know who Dexter's first victim is!

Ugh I was really hoping to see some head shots when he killed people instead of them panning out and having it implied. Are they afraid if they don't hold back they may out CSI CSI and lose money or what? I want heads chopped off, fingers as well and I want to SEE it and the blood spill out, none of this pull back shit. It's about a Serial Killer so the footage may as well be brutal, moreso than what they've given so far.

I'm not into gore, so I do like that it's not overly gorely.
At the same time it is about a seriel killer, they needed more of something in the show. The part where they had blood on the wall of the white room I was almost laughing at how fake it looked. I think the show has a chance to become a great show, but they need something. They are missing something, and I think that something is sex and violence. I thought the first episode of Huff was more gorey than this, they didn't turn away as bad when the teen blew his head off.

Wouldn't you agree if it's a pay network they don't have to worry about the FCC breathing down their necks and holding back?
Agreed that it's missing something. One of the best crime shows I ever saw was USA's "The Big Easy" but that's me. That show was fucking great. They need to hire the guy that played Remy McSwain in it to play Gambit. He looks exactly like him and they'd be idiots to cast otherwise.

I was really shocked that they did hold back. I guess they don't want to scare people off with the gore and sex but It was almost to the level of just "basic" cable. The show is missing something and while they try to find out what it is fill the holes with sex and violence. I feel like I'm watching the dumbed down version of the show, like they did with Sex in the City and Queer as Folk.

Yeah but based on the previews and after seeing some of the preview info with him or the author of the book being interviewed for it I knew he was a serial killer so I was expecting a decent if not excessive level of blood and gore. This is what I think MOST people tuning into the debut thought with them building up to it.

It's rather sad when Heros on NBC has more blood and gore than Dexter.
