So after 10 months of use I discover a dead pixel on the top screen of my DS. I just contacted Nintendo and they are going to send me a return slip.
Should I just rough it out and keep it? I am attached to my DS. Although my dead pixel looks back at me.

They'll just replace both screens and send you back the same DS. That's what they did for my Teal one. Definitely send it back in and get that fixed.
PS... For an added bonus, don't ship it with a stylus and they'll send you a new stylus as well.

Interesting. I really like my blue ds. I was worried they'd send me a lite or something.

No, they definitely won't do that. It's just a quick switch out of both screens and your Blue DS will look good as new.

Are you using a screen protector for any of your screens? I am heistant playing stylus games worrying to damaging the screen.

Nope, for some reason I am terrible at getting those things on and I end up doing more damage trying to apply/remove them than I would if I just let my system remain naked.

If Nintendo is willing to fix the problem for you, why not?
I've had a stuck pixel (blue) near the top of the touch screen DS since I bought it (barely used from a brother-in-law). I usually only notice it during non-interactive moments. It bugs me less as time goes on, obviously YMMV.

I strongly suggest getting the HORI screen protector.

You may have to order it from amazon or play-asia, but it's well worth it. Plus it only about 8$, and if anyone is interested in getting an awesome case for your DS, I recommend this one.

I would suggest the same protectors (I had them for my fat and now on my lite and they're fantastic) and I actually just ordered that case so it's good to know that it's a good buy. Can you shove an AC adapter in the space at the top of the case?

The pocket on the top of the case is too small for a charger but you can easily put 9 DS games or 3 DS games and 3GBA games

Yeah, this is the one I use. They sell it at the Nintendo World Store in NYC. Took me forever to get it on.

A tip for anyone trying to put on a screen: when you try cleaning it of all the dust that can get on it and get trapped under don't use anything to wipe it off, simply use scotch tape. Make sure your hands are clean and dry and first stick the tape onto your skin to make it a bit less sticky. Then all you need to do is make one big piece of tape out of small ones and lay down the screen on the take like you would on the ds screen. That will take off all the dust and crap then you just place it on the ds screen starting from one corner then out while pushing it down with your finger so no bubbles get under it. It works perfecly. And if you misplace the screen just use the scotch tape to pull it off and try again.
