XBOX 360 - Team Ninja's Main Development Platform

In a recent interview with GameTrailers.com (http://www.gametrailers.com/gamepage.php?id=3281) Team Ninja’s Tomonobu Itagaki admitted that the Xbox 360 will be Team Ninja’s main development platform and that nothing is going to change that. After the announcement (http://www.playstatic.com/news/4) of Ninja Gaiden Sigma, the PS3 version of Ninja Gaiden, people feared that the next iteration of the Ninja Gaiden series might be a PS3 title. Itagaki said that that won’t be happening.

In the interview Itagaki also says that he’s very happy with the 360 hardware and that development on Dead or Alive Xtreme 2 is wrapping up. The game is nearly done and he says that Team Ninja didn’t have to cut any features to get it released on time. When GameTrailers.com asked him what he was going to do next he answered that his next game is going to be “what everyone’s expecting”. Jeez Tomonobu, what game would that be?

nah, it'll pretty much be a whole new game + updated graphics. just like Black was to NG1.

Its for 360, so it can't be Sigma. Don't you remember the ad in Famitsu that had the box cover for future Team Ninja 360 games? Project Progressive was one of them.

DOA4, DOAX2, Ninja Gaiden 2, Code Chronus

Those are Itagaki's games, Sigma is NOT Itagaki's game, it's handled by an entirely different person. It might come to the 360, might not.

true, and they said it was new IP i guess. it's the name "progressive" seems to go with the whole developing for another system thing.
