It was bound to happen sooner or later .
Service offers GamerScore points for $$$
Levelmy360.com leaves grunt work of getting Xbox 360 achievements to "powerleveling veterans;" packages go up to 3,000 points for $300.

I hope people that participate in this type of thing get banned from XBL .

Same losers who think that a Halo icon next to their name in matchmaking makes them elite. Do these people go to goodwill and buy old trophies to show off?

I guess if people are stupid enough to pay for gamer pictures.........................
I think the real tragedy is that some people actually apparently give a shit about thier gamerscore.

I was just going to post about this. Frankly, if you use that service you should honestly rethink the direction your life is taking and make changes accordingly (e.g. kill yourself).

If that is a serious thing, its pretty retarded to charge so much.
I'd do that stuff for $5 per 1000 points.

fixed, now I've never played MMORPG's but they have services that you pay for that will get your acount to a higher level. Its a stupid thing to do, but at least makes some sense to me. However, why in the world would you pay to get your gaming score higher, Its has no effect, and doesn't matter to anyone.

K well I "care" about my gamescore for basically what it is: to compare games/achievments with other people. I think it's interesting and adding the achievments (which IS gamerscore of course) makes it an incentive on playing a game just a bit longer.
I just can't believe (yes I can...) that someone would pay for it though. That's SICK! I don't understand why someone would pay. Personally I was happy when my GS finally hit 1000. It's a personal thing because I have like 50 some achievments...(even though they were all pretty easy lol)....Ugh, really hate the internet sometime..
So this "SERVICE" is basically "Pay us $__ and we'll log into XBL with your account and play a certain game to give you that many points" ??
The job itself is kinda cool when you think about it. I'd love to be paid $300 to beat a game for someone, riight?!

You sure, your gamerscore is looking pretty sad, I tell ya what, you send me Dead Rising and I'll get you those last 980 points and we'll call it even.

Wasn't the whole idea of Achievments to make the game more enjoyable to the person playing it? Also adding more replay value to the games? Why anyone would want to pay someone for the Nerd Points is beyond me.

Ok but I get to pick which achievements they unlock. I want the Ghost Recon #1 in the world ranking, beat level 100 on Joust, beat level 7 on Street Fighter 2 , and beat Street Fighter 2 without losing around.

Bingo.
A failed attempt at humor or you didn't understand. I was talking about Halo ranks in the Halo 2 multiplayer. You get a rank from 1 to Halo symbol(aka a metallic ring aka 50) People cheat and use mods and network hacks to make that number or symbol change to a higher level then what they can actually perform in game legitamitly.

I figured that. :)Yeah, I've had my share of lobbies where I get laughed at for earning my score of like 14 when they have the burning halos or eclipse level icons.
Anyways, back on topic, I think it's very smart on the creators of this service's part (because there are always suckers out there willing to do this).

Too funny, guess its all about supply and demand.
meh it is easier to get some sport games and earn the easy achievement. NHL 2k6 is an easy 750 points in under 5 minutes.

Sounds ridiculous to me, but if there's actually people willing to throw around that kind of money for something so worthless, more power to them, I suppose.
I take it this would be something you'd want to keep to yourself though, for fear of being laughed off the planet. ;)

The whole point of the Gamerscore is to reflect your achievements, not someone elses. What is the incentive to hire someone to do it for you? The main reason one can't earn Achievement Points is probably because they're working, and if they are spending money on this, then they should just quit their job and play the games instead! It's this crazy circle, I suppose. This is fucking retarded.
