Wow so i just got Star Fox Command today and i am a huge star fox fan, i have enjoyed every game up to date except this game. Its changed so much, with stupid additions and the all open zone is annyoing as hell because it doesn't feel right. I wish nintendo could make only ONE starfox game that returns to the N64 version for a real Star Fox game they are all so different and this one wasn't even fun. :bomb:

I thought this would be a no brainer purchase. But I've been hearing lots of skeptical reviews like this, and I have a feeling they are right.

It's ok as is, but if you're looking for a SF64 port / reinvisionment, this is not it.

I played it, beat it, and traded it. Don't regret that at all.

Fox needs to reunite with his father, I know he kinda does with the best ending of SF64 but we need that sequel!! Rare used to be so good but ever since microsoft got them and they lost a bunch of employees..they kinda suck now

Stylus Control = No sale for me. Saving my $ for Yoshi's Island II unless they screw that up.

Don't disagree with anything youy've said, but Rare had nothing to do with Star Fox 64. :)

They were making a Cube game that eventually got turned into Star Fox Adventures, but wasn't a Star Fox game from the get go.

Seeing as your Gamertag is "Sony PSP," what you say has very little to no credibility.

Thus, I shall dismiss your comments with a great big "WAH."

I wasn't sure about buying this game but it seems a lot of people don't like it. I guess I'll open up Starfox Assault first anyway (had it sealed for almost a year)

Flying style is basically the same (with stylus control that really isn't too bad in my opinion), but there's nothing by flying, which is an improvement.

Its an okay game. I really wanted a more Star Fox (SNES) type of game. More flying in a path and less block-arena stuff.

As for the controls, I rather like them. Feels oddly like a FPS. Although dropping bombs is a pain - thankfully I never have to do that.

Its not what I was hoping for, but it isn't 'horrible' either - at least to me.

I'll have to be honest with you folks in that I as much as I tried to love this game just couldn't get into it. Nintendo certainly went an interesting idea with the controll idea via stylist. Had that been an OPTION instead of the only way of playing it then I would definately support it. But as is I terribly suck as using the stylist for a game like this. Yes some might like this but to me its a terrible turn off.

Therefore I'll be selling this game off real soon.... I'm still trying to find Phoenix Wright. ;)

I'm really bad when using a stylist for DS games too. They're so damn heavy and don't really fit on the screen. They are ticklish, though . . .

I thought it was decent. Once you get used to the stylus controls the game is a lot better. I hated it at first but grew used to it. Not the best Star Fox game around but not a terrible one.

I think both Star Fox Assault and Star Fox Command are pretty good games. But then I never played any other Star Fox games so I don't have any preconceived notion of how they "should be". As an unbiased outsider, I think they are good (not great) games.

I finished 1 1/2 storylines of Command and haven't played it since - but that's mostly due to Dragon Quest Heroes. I'm trying to stick to one DS game at a time - maybe I'll go back to Star Fox after DQ. Then there's Mario Hoops and M vs DK 2, and a bunch of others coming out in Oct/Nov :D.

What does Rare have to do with it? They only did one StarFox game and it wasn't even originally created as a StarFox title. Dinosaur Planet was demoed as an N64 project for two years at E3 before being reworked with the Star Fox characters.

glad I'm not the only one that hated the game

I loved this game. With the exception of the legendary SF64, it was my favorite in the series.

I just wanted a version of SNES StarFox with new graphics. I'm tired of all this barrel rolling.

My mistake about the Rare thing, I forgot that Star Fox was a nintendo thing. Regardless Rare sucks now. Star Fox Adventure and Assault both sucked(Assault definitely sucking way more however)

I picked this up a couple of weeks ago and thought it was pretty good. I have to admit that my expectations were really low though. Not a terrible game just an average one.

I think this game is pretty great. I only got 2 out of the 9 possible endings so far but even with the stylus control and the map stuff it feels more Starfox to me than adventures or assault did. I also wanted a SNES or N64 type Starfox but Command works for me. Not the best but definitely not the worst.

Saving my $ for Yoshi's Island II unless they screw that up.

IMO, it already looks jacked up... as soon as I heard they were introducing all these new babies like Baby Wario and Baby DK i've been looking at it in a skeptic manner.
