about a week ago, in my game culture class, we covered race, sexuality and gender in games. We read 2 pdf files, one on the sims and sexuality and the other was a outdated packet on race and gender in gaming among other things. the packeet got me heated because it added sports games into the stats.
in response to each article, we have to blog on it. You can see my response here:

I'm not sure if I can send the face packet becase I see it on the site for $10 and the link I just got from my teacher doesn't work.
But I was just wondering what do you all think, in response to my blog and race, gender and sexuality in games all together?

first, gaming culture class? I'm freaking jealous! :)

I'd like to see what those articles said...what are the titles and authors? they might be in the database at my school.

Your response isn't really enough to comment on it, since I don't know what the original argument was.

I can say that bringing sports games into an argument about race in games sounds kinda weak...since those games are meant to emulate the act of playing the sports as real life professionals. Unless it's connected to commentary about who's recruited to play in real life sports...I guess?
