With the next gen fully hitting the market this Xmas season I was wondering about the games currently on the shelf. What retailer do you think will have the biggest clearance push to make room for new games?

I'm not expecting there to really be a large blowout clearance because the Wii plays GC games and the PS3 plays PS2 games.
Plus, there is only maybe 10 - 12 titles for each system at launch, that dosen't require much room at all. Hell, BB / CC are still using tiny little spaces for the 360 around here still.

Well, TRU just reorganized to finally get the 360 games put in nicely. So I'm not sure how they're going to fit two new systems worth of games. Generally speaking I'll say CC, since they have the tiniest and worst game section.
Circuit City's new ad already solved some of my Christmas shopping. Kids want Mario Strikers and Mario Baseball--both are 50% off there.

Circuit City is reorganizing alot of its stores... the game section looks alot different now.

Most they can do from there is take the boomboxes and whatnot from the last row in the back corner of the store and use that for PS3/Wii. Which I guess is feasible.

Yea, I could see Xbox getting clearanced, since alot of the stuff is just dead weight at this point.

Most GC sections are small already... there isn't alot left to clearance.
The local BB and CC barely have any GC games.

Maybe 3rd party titles, but I doubt 1st party, just look at N64 first party titles. Sure you can score one here or there at Gamecrazy during the classic plastic sale, but it is rare.
there wont be any major clearance until next year.
