I downloaded a movie online and i tried to play it using numerous players. I hear sound from some players but the screen is blank. As if im just playing music. The file is 700mb+ so i am sure it is a movie file. Can someone help me?

You're probably missing the correct video codec on your PC. First step, go get the VLC player from http://www.videolan.org/. It plays anything I have tried without having to install specific codecs on my PC.

If you have a favorite player that you would rather use, you can go download CCCP. http://www.cccp-project.net/

I normally only use WMP11 unless it's something like and image of a DVD, then I would use VideoLAN.

VLC Player is teh suck. Go to the site slvrdrgn123 recommended and use Media Player Classic, which is included in the codec pack.

vlc did not work. Matter of fact, it didnt even play sound like wmp did. what does cccp do?
