Does anyone know if either of these titles will support same system (1 system, split screen) co-op?

I'm guessing if GoW has live CO-OP it will have same system CO-OP, I could be wrong... I doubt COD3 will though

If you're looking for co-op, Rainbow Six Vegas is going to have 23 maps for co-op offline/online. That means that the whole story mode can be played with buddies.
As for online co-op, the game will include the always-excellent Terrorist Hunt mode and span 23 maps. You can create a unique character for use here, which brings us to Ubisoft's Persistent Elite Creation 2.0.

In addition to the varied adversarial modes, Vegas will also feature a cooperative element for up to four players. You'll be able to play through the whole single-player campaign with your buddies, as well as some missions that were created specifically for the multiplayer maps. The competitive game, on the other hand, will allow for up to 16 players, and you'll be able to customize the experience in whatever manner you'd like, such as kit restrictions and respawn options. Finally, the game will be playable in just about every configuration supported by the system, including split screen, system link, and via Xbox Live.

I'm so split on this for the TRU B2G1 deal. I know Splinter Cell and Gears of War are musts. But Fifa 07 is looking less and less enticing with it's mediocre gameplay and only 7 leagues. Then Rainbow Six comes along with 23 maps for co-op.Hmmmm

I dont understand how Call of Duty has gone this long without co-op play, it just seems like it would be so natural to kill nazis with a friend.
