I recently brought something on Ebay that is not so CAG and I want to make sure that I am able to get my money back using a chargeback. No it's not that other item which I will get back to.

So if I use a credit card to pay for something will I be able to get my money back as a chargeback?

Or is it that I can use a registered credit card that is on my paypal account which will allow me to get my refund as a chargeback?

How do you initiate a chargeback?

Then again can you get a refund with your paypal account stand alone?

thank's for the advice

1. Yes you can get a chargeback from paypal 'stand alone'. However PayPal has to find in your favor and then the seller must have the funds in his account (or put more money in his account) to cover it. I also hear PP takes $25 off the top as a fee.
2. If you pay by credit card and PayPal won't help you then yes you can do a chargeback with your CC to get the money, however some CCs don't allow chargebacks on PayPal purchases from what I've heard. No idea which do and which don't.

If you go into the payment details in your PayPal account there is a link to start a dispute, I think. Never done it myself, though. I would suggest you spell and grammar check the text of your dispute before submitting, or better yet, have someone else write it up for you.
