View Full Version : 24 Hr Walmart PS 3 Launch.

At what time do you guys that are going to 24 hr. Walmarts thinking of arriving. I remember last year for the 360 launch I got there at 11am (13 hrs be4 launch) and there were already 4 people in line. Taking into consideration that the PS brand in the US has twice the following of the Xbox brand I plan to get there about 7-8am? What about you guys? On thing I like about Wal-Mart is that its indoors and they provide the chairs all yoou need is someone (BF, GF, mom/dad) to drop by a few times during the day to take your space and let you walk, use the restroom, eat, etc.

I got to Wal Mart at 2 p.m. for the 360 launch, and there was only one guy waiting. So I figure, if I get to Wal Mart at about 8 am. for the Ps3 launch, I'll be fine, if I even decide to get one.

I can't imagine being in a Wal-mart for that amount of time. I guess it's necessary though if you want to get a PS3. What would you do the whole time?

The Wal-Mart in my college town already sold out (well, compared to the number of people in line) at 4pm on the 360 launch. I expect the same for PS3. If I wait, I'm going to wait at noon the day before.

Make fun of all the white trash. Last year the 360 line was next to the layaway section and man we had a field day.:lol: :D :D :D One lady started a verbal argument with the layaway clerk because she couldn't put a $5 Barney DVD on layaway. Her five children started crying like crazy.

I didn't mind.

the 24 walmarts by me had over 50 people in line by 8am for the xbox 360. They didn't give out tickets

How would they know if you left the store or not? Some 24 hr Wal-Marts like the one I got my 360 at and where I plan to get my PS3 at launch are HUGE. I'm talking 2 football fields huge Wal-Mart
