Since SCDA was one of the games I actually paid for do you think the hardass local BB, will let me exchange SCDA for Marvel UA? Should I rip the reciept off after splinter cell? (If they ask me waht happened to the rest I'll just say "I didn't need the excess paper")
lol... that will NEVER work, the computer stores everything inside of it... as soon as they scan the barcode on the receipt they can see what was on it.

I know what you mean, but sometimes they genuinely are trying to offer you the card to help you. I used to always say NO THANKS but I traded in about $150 worth of games a month ago, and took the time to listen to the associate. Basically the subscription to Game Informer and the card costs $15, and by getting the card, it added an extra 10% to my $150 for an extra $15, which paid for the free year subscription.
If you bought at least $100 worth of goods (basically 2 360 games or 2 new PS2 games), you should have gone for it because the 10% pays for a year of gaming magazines along with the membership.
There was a time when I spent lots at Gamestop.
At that time I knew most of the staff and the manager.
After that manager went to a different store the one I went to just went to Shit!
Everyone that works there has the attitude that they are "SPECIAL" for working there. But anyway back then yes I did always renew the card.
But when the service is shitty and you get an attitude for asking them to work and not bullshit with kids, No I don't want the card because the I can buy my games other places. I understand they have to do their job and sell subscriptions and preorders, but when someone says no accept it and move on with the sale. Thats what really bugged me the most, basically being told that I come to the store often and NEED this card. . . Which I do not.
I don't need the discount card and I don't preorder games, if something comes out that I want I have ALWAYS been able to get it on day 1 if I want without a damn preorder.

And just about everything else on the reciept will give them the information they need. Maybe if he tears off both sides so he just has this quarter inch strip that says the game and price on it. :)

I ended up getting DQ Rocket Slime, Touch Detective and Mario vs DK 2.
I wanted to get PSU, SPlinter Cel DA and Marvel Alliance for 360 but all toys r us's near me were sold out of Marvel and Splinter cell, and Bestbuy wouldnt price match and Circuit city didnt have the games either so I just picked up Splinter cell, and Marvel from bestbuy along with contact since Toys R Us didnt get that in.

I went to a local Bestbuy the other day to PM this and was denied.
Today I went to another Bestbuy and scored Tales of Abyss, Bully, and Splinter Cell DA. I don't reallty want SCDA but I used it as a placeholder especially since I won't be going back to the Bestbuy which actually Pm'd it for ahwile.

This will work, at least at SoCal Best buys :) You don't have to rip up the reciept or anything, just ask them to exchange it.

There's a seperate thread for the current sale. Why did you bump the one that's almost a year old?

Someone said we should bump the old thread to see who had trouble exchanging games after the sale.
