Just got the new EGM today and here's the Rumor Mill contents:
-Sega is bringing the Virtua Cop series to the PS3.
-EA is making new versions of Road Rash and Desert Strike on next-gen consoles.
-MS is working on a keyboard peripheral to allow Blizzard to make WoW a 360 exclusive. *Rumor was that Sony was getting WoW as an exclusive a few issues ago*
-A new version of The Sims is being made specifically for the Wii.
-2K will return to the football field with a new next-gen football game featuring legends. *An old rumor from just after their loss of the license*
-Harmonix is working on their next musical game, which will feature multiple instruments and online play. *A rumor from a previous episode with more info*
-The Godfather already has a sequel in the works, but won't show up until 2008.

I just got my issue today too. Nothing too out there this month in the rumor section. This is a solid issue though with all the previews for the upcoming games and the GoW cover story. I'm impressed that they reviewed FFXII this issue since it seemed they were behind in their reviews earlier this year.

BTW. The Road Rash rumor as mentioned in an older EGM as well.

I think it'll either be no consoles, or all of them. If Blizzard wants to control the console MMO market, I think they'd do it blitzkrieg style. ;)

These are two I want to hear. I've been wanting Virtua Cop 3 on a console and wouldn't mind remaking the 1st and 2nd. Bringing a brand new Virtua Cop to PS3 would be nice also.
I wonder if it will be published by Red Octane or SCEA. I hope it's with SCEA, since I'd love to see Harmonix make another game for them.

Sorry to burst your bubble but I think it also said that it would NOT be a light gun game but instead it would be a FPS. Not sure how fans of the series will feel about that one...

Why the fuck does Sega enjoy fucking with their classic franchises so much?
man Virtua Cop 3 port on Xbox would be prefect as it is on the same hardware. If only Xbox isnt so dead.

It won't Bliz as always had a piss poor time getting games on consoles. Not because they won't sell well, just because they really have not idea/time when it comes to it. Hell Starcraft Ghost anyone?

This was mentioned also last issue in that final article in the back of each issue where two staffers ramble on about some random issues. So, might be a sign this is true, or might be a sign that this is a very persistent rumor.

As much as I would love to see it. I agree. Blizzard is way to into PC's to jump into consoles again. Whatever happened to Starcraft Ghost...see my point.
lets see you are Blizzard and you are selling something more addictive than drugs. The logical thing is to sell it to more people.

by the time either system gets a large enough userbase, WoW might be old hat.

How big does it need to be since I'm pretty sure there would be plenty of people that would buy whatever system(s) get it just to play it? Considering that development hasn't even been announced to have begun, there would still be quite a while to go before it would be released. It wouldn't just come out in two months from nowhere, so the "the userbase isn't big enough yet" response doesn't seem like a great response since there most likely wouldn't be a need for millions more players to be making money at all.
