View Full Version : Dumbass PS3 reseller leaves personal info in Auction pictures

I was doing a search for PS3 auctions and came across this one: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=170038121144&indexURL=2&photoDisplayType=2#ebayphotohosting

I noticed the guy put a up a picture of his ID next to his receipt from EBgames. Well, turns out that Mr. Stupid Mcdipshit over there forgot to blot out his phone number and made the picture large enough for his number to be read by thousands of unsuspecting shoppers.

You should send this to all of the major gaming blogs. Really get it some recognition.

Joystiq/Kotaku/etc.

Screen cap it first for safety.

What an idiot, it looks like he might have been an employee that snagged it too.

And I can't believe some idiot is willing to pay $1,200 for the chance of getting a PS3.

How so?

For $1200, I'd expect him to personally Chauffeur it to me himself. Hey, he's got the training for it.

10-11-2006, 04:13 PM
How so?

Only going by the fact that he reserved it under "drew" and the cashier was "andrew." Not that there's only one person in the world named andrew or something, but from the timestamp on it (10:43 seems late for an employee) and the fact that the license actually says drew it might just be another guy.

How so?If his nickname is actually Andrew, even though his full name is really Drew, then he could have sold it to himself.

EDIT: Jacked.

I called him and gave him a BIN offer. A PS3 will be mine for only $1500!

I could give a fuck less... personally I'd like to buy and re-sell one myself...

I'd rather like to have the number of the guy buying it for $1200.

I hope Sony decides to push back the launch until after Xmas... that'll teach these resellers a thing or two.:)

Someone should try calling the store he reserved it at and let them know, just for kicks.

Who gives a shit if he is buying one to resell it.If dumb asses are willing to pay $1000+ on one than it is there own fault and he is just making a quick buck. God fucking forbid someone to use good ol supple and demand in America. Whinny bitches.

Just buying the rights to a guy's pre-order slip is going for that much? Man that is crazy.

Really though, it's his right to buy something to resell.

I can't belive that CAGs would do this. Harass some fellow who just wan't to earn some money. Man you are childdish:bomb:

As if you wouldn't have done the same. You are all broberly jealous.

I strongly dislike people who harass other people.
I have not any thing more to say.

Which is why, as a mod, you should put the lock on this thread. I don't think calling someone at home to harass them over something so *trivial* as this should really be encouraged at CAG... it gives the site a bad name.

Whats even funnier is the quote in the OP's signature:

I don't think anyone is really gonna waste time and call him, but if someone does, it's only because he didn't take down his auction photos.

Second, broberly is my new favorite word.

To ask him if he fucks with weights and if Batman is real.

What would be the point of calling him?To tell him he's disrespecting the invisible and flexible CAG code that he is unaware of. Dur.

I don't think prank calling is such a good Idea, that's harassment and it's not accepted on this board.

flexible indeed. there were broberly 50 cags who said they were ebaying it in the deals forum thread. then someone else decided that was against the rules.

As far as I know, there is nothing unlawful, abusive, etc., about posting a link to his auction and image, which he has willing posted.

joke (jōk) http://content.answers.com/main/content/img/pron.gif
n.

Something said or done to evoke laughter or amusement, especially an amusing story with a punch line.
A mischievous trick; a prank.
An amusing or ludicrous incident or situation.
Informal.
Something not to be taken seriously; a triviality: The accident was no joke.
An object of amusement or laughter; a laughingstock: His loud tie was the joke of the office.

Fucking retards.

I'd honestly like take a survey to see how many of you walk around all day with a stick shoved up your ass.
