Just had a complaint from an ebayer telling me I gouge handling fees way too much... I charge 6.25 to priority ship a 4-5 disc boxset. Am I in the wrong? He claims it only costs 2.09 for him to get 5 dvds in the mail priority mail (impossible).... so I ask here, am I in the wrong to charge so much for shipping a dd priorirty mail? Keep in mind its 5.25 for me to ship the dvd priority, so an extra dollar to me to pay for mailing supplies/gas money doesnt seem EXTREEM as he put it.

Please let me know any thoughts or opinions.

$2? Thats BS. Media Mail would cost more than that. If he doesn't wanna pay it, then he doesnt have to bid on it.

Thats what I said... he says he will be reporting me to ebay and called me a "monster" in the message he sent me. Any chance that ebay would even side with him and somehow ban me? Seriously now, im just confused.

No, its probably just a ploy to get you to lower your prices. I dont think eBay can ban you for that.

I'd just ignore him. $6.25 for priority mail is not gouging. Don't bother replying with justification for your S+H costs to someone like that, just a waste of time and potentially set yourself up for a real problem with eBay if you say the wrong thing.

At most I'd reply with something like:

"Thank you for your interest in my auction! My shipping and handling charges are clearly specified in this and all of my listings. Good luck!"

(Basically you'd be politely fucking with him.) But really I'd just flat ignore him.
