Yays! It'll work with my PS! WOOT!!
Now... lets see what ATI says about their cards. Their cards are usually the power hungry ones. We'll know in a few months hopefully.

Looks like I qualify, though I'd like to increase my PS to 550.

last year I made the fucken mistake of paying 400$ for my EVGA 6800GT AGP 256mb card because I wanted the fastest thing on the market that could handle HL2/Doom 3 and so on. Now I see cards that can do even faster for more then half that price.

If you have more money than sense and decide to run two of these babies in an SLI setup you will need a minimum 800W power supply.
I'd be fine if I bothered to get one, but there's no chance in hell of that happening.
I might grab one next time I do a major upgrade and when they've become cheaper.

I'm not sure where I saw it but I think read the 8800GTX was supposed to be $650 while the GTS version will be $550. Pretty expensive but those specs are also amazing.
Not saying I'd buy one though... it's out of my price range and it's a first generation product. I'll probably end up getting a DX9 card first since I won't be upgrading to Vista for a year or two.

ATi cards tend to use less power than Nvidia cards by a good amount, unless something changed with this last generation.

Indeed.
I can't wait till ATI releases thier specs. Either way, I won't be ale to afford either card.

When I did my upgrade for a 7800gt, I got a 550 power supply for futureproof so I will be cool but I will probably get a new computer for Vista and a newer card. This card sounds like it will be a beast and I want it but damn the price if that is correct $650 dollars.
PS3 or Nvidia!

I just upgraded from a Radeon 9800 Pro to a Geforce 9500 GX2. Hopefuly it will last me as long as the radeon did. The new Geforce does look nice but I know its going to be awhile before my new card gets slow enough to need to upgrade. It is nice to play games on high settings for awhile though.
