Xenosaga II is definitely worth playing. Is it as good as the first game? No. But it still manages to be very good overall when you hit that second disc (which doesn't take too long.) The major issue with the game is that the first disc is pretty slow... it's mostly just down time which is spent setting up the events that will take place later on in the game. I found that once I did reach that second disc though, things got way, way better.

But damn... if you haven't played Xenosaga I, it's not really worth it since you'll be lost. I'd honestly go buy Xeno 1 and play through that first... whatever you do, don't bother with Wild Arms though.

Wild Arms 4 is alright. Not the greatest game but I would rather play that then Xenosaga games.

Wild Arms 4. Xenosage II will be a huge letdown if you liked the first one.

Xeno II is an abomination. If you havent played the first, you wont get most of whats going on, and its a 25 hour sidequest anyways. Definately Wild Arms 4

Wild Arms 4 is a cool game, and it has a pretty fun combat system.

Xenosaga I and III are great. As for XS II, just play it through with a low expectation so that you can get the flow of the storyline from I to III.

From what you said "i haven't played Xenosaga I yet", I'd say get Wild Arms 4. Xenosaga II is pretty reliant on playing the first game I believe.

Wild Arms 4 is one of the best in the series IMO, but I still find Xenosaga II to be one of the best games this generation. I'll admit the battle system isn't all that great, but everything else is. The story is extremely good and emotional.
Xenosage II will be a huge letdown if you liked the first one.I disagree completely. I found Xenosaga Episode I to be the best game during the PS2/Xbox/GC generation, while I found Episode II to be one of the top 20 best. Not as good as the first, but still a terrific game. Took me 33 hours to beat, where I did many of the sidequests. I personally really liked the story revolving around my favorite character, Jr.

Both are awesome, but if you haven't played xs1 yet, get wa4 instead.

I didn't like either of the first two Xenosagas. Pretty much considered them both abominations. But they're worth playing just to get to 3, which kicked some major arse.

well i started xenosaga I and it's o.k. so far i guess. i decided to keep xenosaga II and get WA4 way later; i have a backlog so no point getting it now.

I fell asleep playing X2. I was about to play WA4, but then it said you could load save data from WAACF, so I bought that and have yet to play it.

...

So I guess what I'm trying to say is, I dunno.

Both are good, though I'd only reccommend Xeno 2 if you've played 1. No point playing 2 without 1, in this case it matters.

WA4 is alright...not the best RPG ever, but I had a fun time playing it, prefer Xeno 2. I know many didn't like Xeno 2, but the story kept me going, was definitely worth my time.
