Tretton then spoke about the importance of Blu-ray. Effective Nov. 17 the first 500,000 units of PS3 will ship with Talladega Nights on Blu-ray before it is available to the public on December 12. We were then shown an extended trailer for the movie.

I don't know. It says in that release that it's a Blu-Ray version.

However, the machine will not include either type of cable needed to show the BD at better than SD resolution.

Why Talledega Nights? What an odd choice of a movie but I guess it has to be PG. Why not a spider man movie to go along with the PS3 font?

The 60gb premium version will include the HDMI cable in the package, if I read correctly. Yay!

In addition to the new online details, Sony also announced the first batch of PS3 accessories. There are no real surprises here, but for the first time, official prices have been revealed. A PS3-specific high definition multimedia interface (HDMI) cable, which allows up to full 1080p resolution on HDTVs, will sell for $50. An HDMI cable is packaged with the premium $600 PS3 units, but it will not be included in the basic, $500 PS3 package.

As a fellow CAGer, this one's for you ...

I'm sorry I don't get my information from www.obscurevideogamerelatedsite.com. Every other major website in the world disagrees with you.
