Preview of Contra and Time Pilot from IGN:
http://ds.ign.com/articles/740/740892p1.html

So far, 8 have been announced:
Circus Charlie, Contra, Gradius, Roc'N Rope, Rush'N Attack, Time Pilot, Track & Field, and Yie-Ar Kung Fu.

Seems to be a successor to Konami's "Arcade Advance" (GBA). Hope it successfully brings over the better features of that collection, namely the single-cart multiplayer and the excellent hidden remakes.

Wow, thanks for the good news! Will want to pick this up for the arcade version of Contra alone but I see some other great games that will be included which is nice 8-).

It's interesting that most of these games have been released, or will be released, on the Xbox Live Arcade.

Er, not that it matters or anything... anyway, I'll probably get this when it reaches below $10.00. I don't think it's worth spending any more than that on these games.

Not impressed, especially with such awesome retro compilations on the PSP. This is territory the DS shouldn't tread unless they make it a budget title or offer online play.

This really needs to have High Score saves also !

There's no excuse not to put that in these retro comilations, and it would really add to the replay value.

I'm sure they'll have that. Konami has a ton of great arcade games to include, so I have a lot of games I'm hoping for. Probaby worth it just for Contra though.

The only way I'd get this is if they had Wifi Contra. That would own.

Well, it's not a way to save game high scores for Arcade Advanced. (Or is it there and just hidden like Mappy was?)

I'd preefer if they didn't have any overlap with their GBA collection. That way the two together could be both put in one DS for maximum Konami history wanking. It would make for a great promotion that would be like porn.

DP for your DS!

Track and field will kill a lot of your DS's.

You have your wish. WFC play for Contra, plus more!

EDIT: From the comments, it sounds like joystiq may have mistakenly interpreted "wireless multiplayer" as WFC.

Arcade Hits?! How could they not include Ninja Turtles or The Simpson's?! So what if Konami doesn't own the The Simpson's or Turtles franchise, it's nearly criminal not to include them.

Those games are the big draw for me as well. Oh well. I'd rather play them on a TV anyway.
