Is the silver PS2 even coming to stores?

It was suppose to be out yesterday (or today?) and it is online at EB and Amazon, but I was just in EB today and no silvers.

Is it coming to stores, does anyone know?

The release date was pushed back by Sony (it was originally supposed to be out last week) and from what I heard from an EB manager (who usually has good information) it sounds like there's a production shortage/limited supply on not just the PS3, but also the silver PS2. Buy.com's listing page says this which seems to corroborate:

Limit one (1) per customer. Please Note: This item is highly allocated and will ship on a first-come, first-serve basis. This item ships the week of 10/23/06.
My guess is that this will show up in stores, eventually, but it may be awhile before it's easily available.

I didn't even hear about this before, but today at gamestop I saw a employee bring a small box with a silver ps2 pictured on it, out of the back to show the other employee than quickly take it back to the storage area. So I dunno it should start showing up in stores soon I assume.

I hadn't heard about any silver PS2 until today, when I saw it at Wal-Mart (yes, in Canada it is "Wal dash Mart" instead of Wal*Mart).

I could never bring myself to buy anything but black, since all of the other accessories are black. ;)

Been wanting a PS2 for a while now since I sold my release day model a few years back. I was out scouting the TRU in my area this morning and decided not to stand in the line there. Made a trip to Target, picked up a silver PS2 and an extra black controller. They didn't have any silver controllers that I could see. Haven't opened it yet, been busy.
