I feel like it is futile to ask, but I'll try anyway. Is it possible to find a sealed FFVII GH these days? I don't understand how there are so many FFVIII and IX, and yet VII is nowhere to be found. I find it hilarious because just a year ago, they were all over the place. Did Advent Children really do all this?

Did anyone come across an online retailer that has this game? I don't want to spend $50 for this game, considering I used to own it when it was $20 (like an idiot, I traded it in 2 years ago thinking I could pick it up again whenever I wanted).

I also hesitate to buy this for more than MSRP because PS3 will have downloadable PS1 and PS2 games, thus, not needing to pay the insane $100 prices on eBay.

I've been looking like you man. I just got burned on eBay for one that was used. I'm guessing it would take extreme luck to find one sealed, but you never know, anything can happen.

What do you mean burned on eBay? As a last resort, I am considering eBay.

I found mine on clearance for 8 bucks about 4 years ago....but there's no way i'm giving mine up. You should seriously buy yours on ebay right now before PSP emulation comes around. I'm thinking prices are going to raise after that.

FF7 greatest hits -used- on amazon are $60, and on ebay are around $24. I don't get it. I would sell you my FF7 copy (if you looked a few posts down, I made a thread about trading in), but I have to get things sorted out first.

It's sick that a game that has been printed so much is so hard to find. I hope Square reprints it or something, it's just cruel not to.

Wanna see something funny. I actually emailed Square Enix a few days ago about it in hopes that they can score me a free one.

Hello!

I am desperately looking all over to find a copy of Final Fantasy VII for the Sony Playstation (PS1). I understand the game is out of print, however it is VERY difficult to find. I have been a fan of Square Enix since the Super Nintendo days (back when you were called SquareSoft), and the Final Fantasy games have been my favorite series for quite some time. Two years ago, I had to sell my copy of Final Fantasy VII for financial reasons, and am looking to once again own one of my favorite games of all time. I hope my request will not be futile, as you are the company that created the game. Is there any way for Square Enix to sell me (or send me) a copy of the game? The MSRP of the Greatest Hits title is $19.99, and yet prices are discouragingly high on eBay (where they are going for nearly $100). Please advise. Thank you!

-SE fan.
Thank you for contacting Square Enix Customer Support,

We hope this letter answers your questions.

Unfortunately, FINAL FANTASY I through FINAL FANTASY IX are no longer in print on their original platforms. We do not have any information on where you may be able to locate those titles new and unused on their original platforms. However there have been many re-releases on various platforms. Below is a list of the platforms and publishers for those re-releases, keep in mind that some of these re-releases are also now no longer in print. <snip>

Really? I would figure prices would drop considering the game will be available to purchase once again. That's why I'm considering unloading my SNES and N64 games because VC via Wii will kill it.

A few months (maybe a year?) ago when Blockbuster was clearancing out their PS1 titles, I grabbed FF7, Chrono Cross, Street Fighter Alpha 3 and Castlevania SOTN all sealed all GH for $4 each.

That was a good day. I'm actually playing through FF7 now, since I never have before. Good story, but the graphics are bordering on painful.

Maybe. If they make a big deal of it then it'll raise the price. Look at what happened to Silent Hill for the PSX when the movie came out for it.

I never knew FFVII GH copies were becoming hard to find, almost makes me feel like selling mine. Good luck finding one.
