Hey all, I've been getting bored playing the same games over and over. Right now all I get entertainment out of is Alice and Freedom Fighters. I'm looking for a nice FPS with good multiplayer and singleplayer. I'm not really into WWII games unless they really stand out from the rest. Games which involve communist parties (ie Freedom Fighters) appeal to me because I have a direct relation to that. I was wondering if Red Faction II is any good?
So, baseline:
-I need new games
-I have $40, and would like to buy 2+ games
-I can only shop at Fred Meyers, Target, or Office Depot
-Would prefer FPS games
Thanks in advance!
PS
Half Life 2 GOTY looks nice, but I don't wanna spend $30. I'm waiting for it to go down to $20. Any idea when that's gonna happen?
EDIT: PC Only :-(

well target is a good store, does your target clearance games out? if so check the target clearances stickies in the deals sections.
There is a b2g1 free going on at toys r us and the green tag clearance.
Also b2g1 free at gamestop/eb(used games only). $40 would go a long long way imo.

Yeah Red Faction is alright. Go for Timesplitters!

Yeah Red Faction is alright. Go for Timesplitters!
Are they both under $20?
Someone pointed me towards CS:S. I'm not a fan of the original CS or HL1, but I'm wondering if this will be better? Or Day of Defeat: Source?
Thanks again.
EDIT: Brothers in Arms?

I like Brothers in Arms but its WWII shooter. Have you played some older releases like Doom 3 or Halo, I believe they should both be $20 buck by now and ive seen Doom3 clearanced at compusa for $10 so maybe target will too. Those are pretty good games IMO

Getting Half Life 2 GOTY for $30 from Fred Meyer today. Just hope I have enough time with "night-time savings" and all.

Double post/bump, sorry.
I've overlooked the fact that HL2 is rated M
How do I buy rated M games without having them card me? Is it considered "OK" if I ask some random guy to buy it for me and have me pay him once we're out of the store? Or do I have to hope to get some teenager kid at the counter and hope that he lets me buy it if I act really mature? Or do I just leave the money on the counter and run with the product??

just try to purchase it, I don't think all cahsiers will care
anyway, my target has self checkout so I guess if you had that definitely use it

My Target doesn't, and anyways I'm getting it from Fred Meyer, which *does* have self checkout, but the game is in the Electronics area, which requires you to purchase there before you go to the rest of the store. And last time I attempted to buy a Rob Zombie CD they wanted to see ID. I'm supposing I should just try to ask a guy over there to buy me the game? If he doesn't want to, I guess I'll just have to try to get by without having to be ID'd.
Thanks.
EDIT: They didn't even have the fucking game... I found out that one of my friends works there so I could technically get it from him, and for about $4 cheaper :-) I ended up getting Medal of Honor: Pacific Assault for $9.99. It has a good rating on Gamespot, so I suppose I'll get some fun out of it. IT is a "standing out WWII shooter".
