GTA vice city itself its 15.88 this week at Target regular price is 29.99 I guess. Isn't this almost a greatists hits by now? If not good deal this week.

Too bad I cant use them at that Target because of the Madden incident. I guess I'll have to try other Targets.

I got a raincheck for Hitman Contracts 21% off - It was the only game they were out of - for 39.88 I used it on PSI-Ops and then used the $10.00 off coupon so I got it for $29.88. I tried the Manhunt one from last week but they never sold out of any copies. They had three copies all week. This is the first time I've ever did this and it worked like a charm no questions asked. This was for the Xbox versions of the games.

When you get a raincheck from Target, it states on it that you can substitue for a similar item and take the percentage off of substituted item. In theory it could work for Zelda. Sometimes they go by the regular price, like for GTA: Vice City its originally 29.99 the raincheck takes 48% off, they might tell you it has to be on another $29.99 game (may or may not be PS2).

Or they might not honor it at all because of the raincheck abuse

Target offered Madden for the PC at 66% off. Some people went in and got stacks of 20-50 rainchecks which they then proceeded to use to get piles of new games at less than half of retail price.

People have experienced a higher resistance to them being allowed to make a cross platform substitution ever since.

Used the GTA VC rain check to get Megaman collection for GC for $15.59 (I guess percentage is a little off). (normally $29.99) Cool deal! Thanks CAG!

Actually, I should get the PS2 version compare them and dump the one I don't want to someone for $20 :wink:

You can only get the raincheck for the PS2 version...Vice City was never released alone for the Xbox...It was released in the double pack.
