PS3 Source EVENT, is this legit or a joke?

I got an email today, I was wondering if anyone else did.

Dear PlayStation Gamer Advisory Panel Member,

You have been selected to attend the PLAYSTATION 3 Source event to be held Thursday, November 2nd from 4pm-6pm at an undisclosed location in NYC.

Please RSVP (reply to this email) that you absolutely can make it to the event and we will send a follow-up email by Tuesday, October 31st, with the NYC location and finalize your place on the guest list. Note that you must be 18 or older to attend, a valid photo I.D. is required for entry and no guests will be allowed into the Source event.

I was wondering if this was a fishing email, or if it was legit. It seems to be a rather short event, but I guess it depends on how many people will be there.

I'm in the GAP and I got it as well. Not going though for obvious reasons.

I got it too, but I also replied to the first email about this event on November 10th. Reading the first email contest rules, it said the first 50 people to respond to this will be invited. I replied pretty quickly, but I haven't heard a thing about it until yesterday when I got this new email. Did you guys respond to the first email too?
