i would guess between 10 and 40 per store ....I think 40 is a stretch, but I know there was a best buy in my area last year that had about 38 xbox 360's.

well the midnight launch locations will be allocated with quite a few. The Launch one in LA area for the 360 had 300 or so if I remmeber correctly.

I also heard that Best Buy is getting 50% of the PS3 stock.

ps2 500k for launch. bestbuys had anywhere from about 30-96 in the florida area.

ps3. hopefully 400k at launch.

expect 20-50 per store.

Looks like I am going to my best buy afterall to camp out. The one on Butterfield road in Illinois must be one of the bigger ones I guess.

I plan on getting there right after I get outta work.

I expect Wal-Mart to get the majority of stock. While Best Buy is huge, Wal-Mart is bigger. If I had to guess....20-25 per store. 10 being the basic and the rest being the premium.

Hmm... It is quite tempting to roll by the Mt. Laurel one after work and see what the line looks like. If it's under 20 I might just hang around until midnight...

If I had to guess....20-25 per store. 10 being the basic and the rest being the premium. nope, 200,000 units are going to best buy (thats half of the launch units). the rest go to walmart, target, etc. im rethinking my strategy because of this number.

If it's anything like the 360 launch, the midnight launch stores got something like 150-200 systems.

What is Landmark Center Mass? I'm sure it's not a town so where the hell is it? I think they should have the one in Shopper's World in Natick MA be open at midnight. It's only the biggest shopping area in New England.

Same here, I'll wait a few hours, but none of that 24+ hour stuff...I still have to work to PAY for the damn thing afterall.

West Hollywood, here we come!

according to this site, the BB stores are getting 30 to 60, and the other stores like target, CC, are geting 10 to 20

http://www.ps3seeker.com/

at least that is what it says for the los angeles area, it might be more for a densely populated area like new york, or less for a middle america town, i dont know.
