Im wondering if your systems show how many units of ps3s your getting in stock. It would be nice if we could post confirmed #s of units per stores for fellow cags to camp at the stores that are getting more units then others.

I am working part time at CC and no our computer will not show what we are getting right now. If they show up at all it will be a day or two prior. However from talking to other guys at the store , they didn't know how many 360 they were getting until they arrived because they came via some special truck and not our normal shipments on wednesdays and saturdays.

Yeah that sounds like "drop shipment" middle of the week drop offs for retailers.

I know bestbuys would be able to check how manythere getting in but it might not show up until a week or so before launch.

It would be nice to know a few days ahead of time.

thx for the info.

Yeah at CC, we get little to no advance notice, even asked the DM today at the store and he didn't know. I'll just give you the answer I give everyone who asks at the store too: "Not many".

9, and I expect less PS3's to be honest.

I work at the circuit city at the Polaris ohio location ad found out from our sony rep that we're "supposed" to get 12 units on launch. Now how many of thoes will be the 20 gig and how many will be the 60 gig ones is a mystery. But we did get a memo stating we should have a kiosk shortly to put out on the floor.

Thanks bill123,

Any other info from other cags who work either place would be great.

It seems bestbuys will get more systems sent to them.
But i dont have any confirmations yet.

Hopefully within the next week we all will find out more and get our 20hr Camping schedule ready.

Our media manager at CC told me the corporate email stated we would get a ton of vouchers but only give out vouchers to as many systems as we get at 6 am the morning of the 17th.

I thought I read somewhere that CC stores will have a minimum of 15 PS3's per store.

It was supposedly in the ad for that week. However you should never totally trust a CC ad, there are are at least a half dozen or more misprints and mistakes in there every week (usually landing with more...).

Us 9-to-5ers probably won't be able to make it to a Midnight launch in time, but at least we know how many units they'll have.

well, where this Circuit City is located (short pump) is a lot different than downtown Richmond. it is your typical huge mall, all very new and modern, i don't really care for the area but i wouldn't call it ghetto

also this store is right down the road from Circuit City Corporate headquarters, so it really is not surprising they picked it as one of the ones to have the big midnight launch.
