The EA store finally dropped the price of SSX 3 to $20 for all systems. So if you have a valid $15 code you can snag it for $5+$6 shipping+tax

However there is a note on their page that they aren't shipping any orders until July 6th, so if you want it quick this probably aint the best deal for you.

You get the coupons by being signed up for their newsletter, I think they generally go out towards the end of the month.

EA Store main page (http://eastore.ea.com/)

I couldn't link directly to the search results, just go to the main page and search for "SSX 3".

I'll probably order it when I get my next coupon. Is it better on Xbox or Gamecube, though? I have both. Actually, soon will have both. (Halo Edition= mine on Friday :D

I read in another thread that the Cube version is missing one of the grab moves due to the lack of 4 shoulder buttons. I can't say personally as I haven't played it but based on that, I'd go for the Xbox version.

Along the same lines, the reviews on IGN indicate the game was designed with the PS2 controller in mind and that is probably the system to choose if you have all 3. As for GC vs. Xbox, I don't really know. I only have the Xbox so it was a pretty easy choice for me

Can't say which is better, but when it comes to third party software, the Xbox is usually the optimal choice. Graphics tend to prettier (if that matters to you) and load times are technically superior.

I have all three consoles -- my Xbox library is filled with most of the third party software (007: EoN, R:Racing Evol.). EBgames has SSX3 for $15 right now, but only the Xbox version.

If this is a universal price drop, then BB will have it for $15 for all systems with the GGC...

Yeah the drop to $20 for SSX 3 happened a few weeks ago basically everywhere. The EA store itself tends to lag behind most every other retailer with dropping their price. (Maybe so they don't piss off retailers? I don't know.)

Anyway with the coupon code this is $4 better than you can do at Best Buy, pretty good IMO. That's why I pointed out the lag with their shipping currently. If you want it right away go to Best Buy and pay $4 more. (Although my Best Buy has been out of this one for a while now.)

When did the last newsletter get sent out from EA? (trying to get an approximate time).
Does everyone who signed up get a coupon, or is there some requirement (random)?

It's a great deal but I'm just gonna get it at Bestbuy and save the wait of shipping.

All right, I'll get the Xbox version. Thanks for the feedback.

Hmmm I didn't get an EA coupon this month, I normally get one every month.

Sweet, I signed up for the newsletter maybe they'll send me a coupon right around the time they're about to ship out the games, so I won't have to wait so long.

Heh, I JUST picked this game up today for the Xbox from a Target clearance for $10. Not bad at all. Though I'm disapointed that I now found out the PS2 version has online play...but for the price I can't complain.

Hmmm, Didn't get a single email from them yet (except the one saying I signed up). They didn't even spend me spam :P

If you use Yahoo, be sure to check your bulk folder if you have spamguard activated. Sometimes it goes there...

Doesn't the cube have 3 shoulder buttons and the box only have 2 triggers? :?: I don't own an xbox and I've only actually played one once though so maybe I'm forgetting something...

Hmm, good point. The Xbox does only have two triggers. I wonder how they have the grabs setup on the Xbox version that makes it easier to play than the Gamecube version.

Still no coupon from EA either, I checked my bulk mail folder.

Well, the Xbox does have the Black and White buttons, perhaps they simply remapped L2 and R2 to those two buttons?

Yes, they use the black and white buttons for more holds. Personnaly though, even though im missing moves, i much prefer how the game feels with a cube controller.

WRONG

The face buttons become the grabs when you go in the air. It works very well almost as good as the ps2.

Next time actually play the game instead of giving false information as fact.
