So im deciding on whether or not to get a PS3 or Wii, but I think what I will end up doing is trying to get a PS3 first, and if i cant, I will just get a wii.
How early will I have to stand outside? (do you think) And what store would be my best option?

Not.
If you stand in line early enough, you'll get one. But its really up to you if you want to be in line for 18 hours or so.

You're gonna need do more than just stand outside. You're gonna need to camp, literally. Bring a cooler full of sandwitch meat, bread, beers, sodas, BAWLs, energy drinks, and your DS, PSP, and/or ipod, then you're good to go. My friend is bringing a grill, it's gonna be a blast, hopefully.

I wish some of my friends wanted to go with me, they all have xbox360s and dont really want a PS3. I might just end up getting a wii, although i really want a PS3 more. Wii should be much easier to get.

Hmm, you just made me realize something that's actually pretty obvious but whatever...
Nintendo announced the Wii launch date after it was well-known that the PS3 is only shipping with 400,000 units in North America. Why November 19th? Well, it is quite obvious that Nintendo knows that ALOT of people will be wanting a PS3, but not able to get one since the PS3 is only launching with 400,000. So Nintendo is taking advantage of the situation by launching the Wii 2 days after the PS3. 2 days people... that is an ideal time for dissapointed people who did not get a PS3 on the 17th to go line up for the Wii on the 18th, or even the 17th as well.
Basically, Nintendo is definitely doing something right here. Launching the Wii two days after the PS3 as an alternative to the PS3. Then when the PS3 becomes more readily available, people may have enough money to buy that as well. But does Nintendo care? Nope. As I said in a previous topic, Nintendo does not mind that the Wii serves as a side-dish to either the 360 or PS3. In any case, Nintendo may actually end up selling the most units.

Beings you live in Vegas, drive up here to Winnemucca and wait outside the wal-mart here. I gaurantee you, you won't have to wait outside more than 2 hours to get one. They open at 7AM, and last year for the 360 me and my friend where there since midnight, but no one even showed up until 6AM.

People were standing outside my local TRU for preorders at 2pm the day before. I'm wondering what the best store would be to camp at and how early to go? Anyone also know what stores will be doing raffles?
Say Best Buy, Wal-Mart, Target, Sears, Circuit City, KMart, ect all get a few units on launch day, and none of them are doing MNL, you have a pretty good chance come 10 am. Just be there around 5 am. TRU might get a few extras.
Winnemucca, thats too far, I'm going to Pahrump, Lol

Last year I showed up to Best Buy around 5pm the day before for the 360, and I was in the mid 30s for my system, so I was able to get a Premium.
This time I'm going to call Best Buy around noon and ask if anyone is in line yet. And then I'll probably head there sometime before 3pm.
