I hate to be the guy to say it, but I have a launch Xbox with a Thomson drive, and I've never had issues with it. Luck of the draw, I guess.

Actually dev Xbox systems are clear plastic, and slightly taller than a standard Xbox. (I was an artist on two released titles)

I think he was talking about the boxes sent out that were used to beta test a few live games and such a while ago.. they looked pretty much like the halo edition that is about to come out.

This should help out people who's date isn't listed, or those who are too lazy to look through all the dates.

Shit...it is a thomson...anybody have any ideas on how i can take it back and not have to go through the hassle of transfering game data? I have one memory card...that will only house a few game saves...So what should I do?

Is it giving you problems? If not don't worry about it, as there is no way to tranfer all your saves as far as I know.

I transfered my saves little by little when I got my new Xbox via memory card but it took like half an hour standing in the store looking like a dumbass...I takes forever to read a disc and sometimes it says please insert xbox disc or music cd...and sometimes when i play it will freeze then make a loud spinning sound then get choppy and then catch up.
