I hope this pans out, it'd be great not to have to keep my PS2 out just for Guitar Hero.

WHAT!? and forgo the possibility of making you buy an overpriced adapter accessory?! NEVAR!~
but yeah if any adapter works that'd be neat. I already got one for my pc.

That's what I thought would happen. It's good to know that it should work for any PS2 to USB adapter.

I kind of doubt it'll work in actual games.
And to the one poster, no, it doesn't support PS1/2 accessories, which makes sense in a way. Those ports are from 1994 after all. The ARE selling a USB memory card reader for $12-20ish that lets you read PS2 and 1 memory cards.
Another nice benefit to the way they're doing it is we're no longer tied to needing PS1 (or 2) memory cards to play our PS1 (or 2) games like we were on the PS2. I've been getting worried about that, as it becomes harder and harder to find PS1 memory cards.
Another nice benefit is we can back all our saves up to a PC (which I already do for my PSP saves I want to keep).

I thought they weren't included because of the whole lawsuit thing. which is why I was happy about this (and thought it was a loophole at first)
