I'm kind of leaning towards Harsh Times right now, but Borat may post another huge weekend. I'll make my vote in a few days when it becomes more clear.

Going for Borat this week since it's opening up at more theaters this week.

I want to say Borat, but people are retarded over Tim Allen and his Christmas flicks... I hope I'm wrong here. I know if I go see anything it'll be Borat.

Borat. After such a strong showing last week, lots of word of mouth and the fact that more theaters showing it this week, I doubt anything is going to top it.

About 2000.

I'm picking Borat simply because I want to see it win. However, if any movie is going to take its place, it would be Stranger Than Fiction.

It will be, uh, the Borat.

Does anyone else think Harsh Times will get absolutely owned at the box office? Sure, it has Christian Bale and Eva Longoria, but the marketing for this movie has been pure shit. And Bale in South Central? He's a bad-ass and all, but it just sooooo doesn't work.

Oh vote goes to Stranger than Fiction, I think the power of Ferrel will win out.

Borat after its stellar showing last week at only 800 screen 2000 is a definite plus.

Oh vote goes to Stranger than Fiction, I think the power of Ferrel will win out. I've never even heard of it until just now. But I tend to think Bale can pull off anything, so I won't comment on that until I actually see it.

I thought the Bond movie was coming out this week, maybe not.

Either way, I posted last week that I thought Borat could dominate on a small number of screens because we have the beginning of a cultural phenomenon. I actually think this is one of those things that, in 20 years, what this decade was known for will be Borat (and, who knows, maybe he'll have his own talk show like Alf does now).

Borat is going to have a monster week here. Being a comedy, it will also have tons of repeat business. Right now, it wouldn't shock me if it won first place 4-5 weeks in a row. I can't see it losing this week.
