View Full Version : 2-year Warranty - why $59 with MO/check but $49 with credit card?

It's quite confusing. It states

1) enclosed $59 in form or money order or check

2) delay payment for $49 with a credit card

Delay payment? I don't get it. So with a credit card, it's $10 cheaper? Or are they saying it's $49 now, and they will bill you $10 later?

Please help me out. I want to send out my warranty tomorrow.

They charge you 49$ because it is cheaper for them to process a CC rather than have you mail in a check where it has to be delt w/ and cashed....

the total price w/ a CC is 49$.... it saves them a hassel if you use the card so they perfer it that way and give you a small price break.

edit: they consider it "defering payment" because if you put it on your CC you can pay it off on your CC in installments if need be.

ok last edit, if this is for a xbox360 you can just call them and buy it over the phone w/ a CC ... that's what i did.

will they let you buy the warranty if you say my 360s fucked up and i want the warranty. or do i just buy it and wait a bit.. then request repair?

Sounds as if you are SOL.

It is hard enough as it is to register the 360 with the correct date, let alone an expired one.
