NBA live 07 for thePS3 has been canceled, I doubt it will be missed though.
Sonic is being delayed until the holiday season.
Fear will not be released until early 07
Oblivion also looks to be delayed until early 07 as well.

Not that I care, but those where some of the top ps3 titles, IMO. And now they aren't coming out till 2007.

I care about Sonic a little...but I already have FEAR on the PC and could care less about NBA and Oblivion.

These are big games if you didn't already own a 360, but for people who are sony fan boys this is quite a blow to them for a few months.
Guess I'll rollover my Oblivion pre-order to something else then.

Another reason for me to wait on the PS3......maybe....
I wanted Oblivion and although I have it for PC, it really lags a bunch and doesnt get much pow with the picture quality cause of my video card so....yeah

Oblivion is a rather large delays since they were really trump cards in the "you waited for the 360, so here's one of the three best console "exclusive" games for the system". I think F.E.A.R. was destined to be overshadowed so that delay might work out for the best. Sonic looks pretty awful, and Basketball is well Basketball. 1 big delay, 1 minor delay, 1 delay that might turn out to be an advantage, and 1 collective "meh". The PS3 launch looks a whole lot weaker without Oblivion though.

Isn't NBA 07 one of the demos included with the PS3 kiosks appearing around the country? It's strange they would cancel it, especially so close to November 17.

The launch is "worse" but the games will be "better" with the extra time. Balances out for me.

I would have to guess that the only one of those games that would have gotten a lot of sales would have been Oblivion, since there is nothing like it on the PS3 at this point. FEAR is overshadowed by Resistance, the Sonic demo for the 360 was horrible, and there will another NBA game.
I wonder why Oblivion was delayed, since the content is done. Could have it been harder to port to the PS3 then expected, or do they just want to wait until more PS3s have been sold, thus getting them higher sales numbers?

Yeah, but how many "kids" are going to have a PS3 at launch? By the time they are readily available I'm sure Sonic will be out for those kids to have.

Responsible middle class adult or rich kid who needs a PS3 at launch? Who sounds more likely to own a PS3 post-Christmas 06?
Sonic has and always will move systems regardless of how shit the game is. Losing Sonic is a big blow to the launch even if the game isn't a big blow in terms of "quality" of the launch.

Exactly. The question was though, who's going to have a PS3 for play? The asshole rich kid that tears apparently are worth $1200+ would have got his parents to drop $60 on Sonic regardless of it's quality. Now that the 360 is the only place to get Sonic for the holidays though...

Yep, regardless of Quality losing Sonic as a launch title is a big blow. Pretty much every sonic game i can remember has gone PC, GH or Platinum. Not positive about Shadow The Hedgehog and Maybe not Gems Collection for the CUBE but i would be willing to bet those did also.
