I wonder if Cheapy gets a Wii also he has a pretty good fan base also no reason why he shouldn't.

Maybe I should start a half retarded blogging site that just rips news off of IGN / Gamespot.
That packaging for those Wii controllers is stupid as hell too :rofl:

Sweet! Hopefully IGN/GS get their's soon, so they can start streaming footage.
On the down side, it looks like a cardboard sleeve for Wii Sports :-(. Hopefully some of the more art-inclined CAGs will whip up a DVD insert lickity split.

If Kotaku can get one, there should be no reason why Cheapy shouldn't get one, since it seems Nintendo is just giving them out to everyone.

Well hey, apparently all you need is a place to blog and the ablility to copy other news posts and a feature for comments.
Shit, I think I'll make a Myspace page called "AWESOME NINTENDO NEWS" and who knows, I'll probably get a Wii in a week.

I just want some reviews so I can avoid any absolute stinkers at launch.

That is the exact selection of items (plus a component cable) I will be getting on launch day.
Sucks about the sleeve for Wii Sports, but can't say that I'm surprised. Even when someone comes up with cover art, it's going to be a trick finding a white DVD case to put it in. All I can think of is old Disney DVD cases.
Does anyone know if that base is metal or silver plastic?

I have no fucking idea why any company would send merchandise to Kotaku.
Kotaki is one suckiest (and useless) sites I have ever seen (the layout is horrific, lack of original article).
Seems like all of us should start a blog and start ripping news from other sites just to get the freebies. Seems like the standard for journalism is pretty low (AKA non-existant) in the video game industry.

To be fair, one of the guys at Kotaku writes for the Rocky Mountain News, which is probably why they got one (I also can't imagine why Kotaku would get one on its own "merits").

Not so. Go to Target and pick up a copy of the Wii + Activision preview DVD. It'll only set you back a penny. Perfect for housing Wii Sports after someone whips up an insert.
Personally, I'm going to pick up one tomorrow. Gotta be prepared!
