im typing this realy fast so pardon my mistakes.
about 10min ago I was playing gears of war when a nock came at my door.
it was not the nock that starteled me but the most anoying screach that came behind it anyway... my 360 fell over and my copy of gears just became SCRAP.
Help I need to know what stores (big retail?) take returns/exchange WITHOUT a recipt.PLEASE HELP.peace.

no I got it at my local eb but they did not give me a recipt because I preordered and pre paid for it..PLEASE HELP. I take good care of my stuff this has never happened before if it was not for that fucking charging cable!!!!!!!!!

I would buy another copy (used if they have it) from eb.
Exchange your original copy with the 2nd receipt and tell them it is defective. Ebay the duplicate copy or trade it in the forum. I know this may not the most ethical method. BUT I got screw by ebgames/gamestop way too many times (buying "new" games that are not sealed. not letting me exchange my NEW SEALED copy of the Limited Edition FFXII guide even with the receipt. WTF? the last example is probably just an asshole manager at my ebgames. I'm still pissed though)
buy a new copy with warranty, than exchange your damaged copy for a new one. Then ebay or sell one of the new copy.

im not too familiar with the eb return policy. can I use them not giving me a recipt to make them exchange it?
in all honesty this is the one time they have not offered me the warranty.
FOR THE LOVE OF ALL THING GOOD there must be a way I just got it on tuesday it can't end like this!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

No, you're not F*cked. Email Epic, or support (look in the manual for the specifics) and tell them your situation. You're likely to get a replacement copy for substantially less than $60. Then again, I could be wrong, and every company is different, but I know that when my PS2 died with MVP Baseball 2004 inside it, I e-mailed EA with my problem, and they told me for $15, they would send me a replacement, even though I had bought the game like, 2 months prior to that. All I had to do was send $15 and my broken game disc.

You could refinish the disc, or you know what works wonders... (You're gonna be to scared to try it prolly) but old english furniture polish really cleans scratches off your discs really well. I used to work for a cd store and we used to do it all the time.

when you take games back to(a different) eb do they scan the box? will this tell them I got my first copy from another store?
I was once at my friends house when his 360 was toppled by his cat and it absolutly DEVOURED his doa4.
but because the scratches are in a perfect circle mabey that would help with the believability.

You should use the idea of an above poster and take a minimal hit by buying another copy from EB with the warranty and taking the old copy back and sell the extra copy on Ebay.
