View Full Version : Anyone know when Eb/Gamestop will be getting their 2nd shipment of Wiis?

Well I was unable to preorder mine there, and I have a ton of credit there, so it makes sense to use it to buy the wii there. Well my local store is run by idiots, they were telling me that almost everything was preordered and I would be lucky to find any games or accessories, but I could preorder a Wiimote for 50.
They have no clue when they are getting more in, so I was wondering if anyone else heard anything or maybe someone works at one of the stores and heard something.

If we knew, we would post it. No one even knows how many Wiis will be available on launch day.
I believe a second shipment will arrive close to Black Friday...

Being a former employee of EB, we never had any clue on releases after the first. We normally had knowledge of how many we would be getting for the first release about a week or two ago and if not, the shipments would be coming about now for PS3 and Wii.
My guess is that it will be hard/impossible to get a Wii or PS3 without preorder from Gamestop/EB before Christmas

Yeap, They were only given an idea of how many units to expect on launch day. So the number of pre-orders they took were based off of those numbers. Atleast thats is what I have heard anyway...

Yes.
A Pre-order is NOT a guarantee for anything. I could reserve a hotel room and still be denied. It happens, its not 100%.

Since the Wii should be pretty easy to make at launch for Nintendo (unlike the 360 and PS3) I would expect all stores to get regular shipments.

That is what I am hoping for. But even if they don't get the number they should be getting I doubt it will be anything like the 360 launch.
