Just arrived a few minutes ago (early Sunday afternoon 11/12/2006).
No fuss, no muss.
￥ 73,146 (or $614.52 US) for a 60GB PS3, Genji and Resistance.
Amazon was selling those games for about $43...cheap!

I was watching the Japan launch highlights on the evening news and immediately thought about Cheapy receiving his PS3. Thanks for posting the video.

And I thought the 360 was a honking huge piece of hardware--wow, big, shiny, and black, the perfect game console for those aging gamers going through their mid-life crisis.

I'd like to echo the sentiment that for someone getting the rarest console this season, you look about as excited as a forsensic pathologist dissecting his eleventy-twelfth corpse.

I think I'll be like CheapyD in the enthused department when opening up a PS3. It's essentially just a faster PS2 with a PSP interface.....plus we had all this over hype crap last year with the Xbox 360, so I'm kind of spent in the excitement department. The that that really bogs me down is watching the Fall of Man reviews, seeing it getting a 9.1, and seeing it appears to be just another generic shooter. Can we say payoff?

As big a 360 fan as I am, I'm really glad that this time has come. I can't wait to listen to first hand account on how this machine performs. I'm not going to be able to pick one up for a while (Not interested in waiting in line) and I'm really interested in the Blueray aspect of it.
