"According to the popular magazine, Nintendo will not be working on a new Legend of Zelda game for the Wii straight away, at least not one with Link as the main star anyway. It would seem that given the major success of Tingle's début Nintendo DS role-playing adventure, the company has decided to give him a shot at his own Wii game."
A new Zelda game will take ages, so i kinda hope they do like Majoras Mask, just use all the mechanics of Twilight Princess and get a game out fast. But come on, Tingle? aaahhh, the DS game is enough.

Well yes, Nintendo had nothing to do with the game and yes the CD-i sucked, but people will probably remember that game if Nintendo decides to ever make a Zelda game starring Zelda.

A Zelda game could be awesome... maybe something like a side story as what she was doing during OoT as Sheik.
As for the Tingle game, I think it's a bad idea. As gay as it sounds, Tingle might have had that cutesy look on a miniature screen using 2D graphics but I honestly don't want to know what Tingle would look like using Wii graphics. I think it would be scary.

it wasent made by nintendo though. it was made by philips. and they were kindof aloud to do it becuse nintendo broke contract with them.

The only way I would find a Tingle game interesting is if they were to build the story of the game around an existing storyline from Wind Waker or Majora's Mask. That is, we take control of Tingle and go in search of maps to later sell to Link, for example, thus helping Link in his quest.
The search would obviously be involved and have a narrative of its own, but it would use the same or similar environments as those Link encounters in his quest, and it would use the same and similar characters, too. The whole experience would not only tell us more about Tingle, but give us another side of the different places and characters we originally experienced in the Link quest.
Link Jokes would be an easy sort of humor throughout the Tingle narrative: people could make funny asides about the Boy Hero and whatnot. It would have a lot of potential if done by someone who was heavily involved in the Zeldas.
If a game is just Tingle acting gay and hunting for rupees in some flavorless, superficial, Hyrulesque environment, I'm not having any of it.

Well, consider it. Even if I didn't like Nintendo very much, playing a motion-controlled opus about a 40yr old goateed man who thinks he's a fairy would make me reconsider buying "Awesome GRAF-X Linear Action Game 36: The Shootering".
Fuck, EA could make it for the Ps3 using outsourced Romainan sex-slave labor and slap a picture of Ken Kutaragi blasting Miyamoto in his shitter on the case, and I'd still buy it.

Are we talking about the same game, here? It had charm, sure, but that's about all it had going for it. That game sucked, and I would hope they wouldn't do that to Zelda as well.
As for Tingle...I think a Wii game is a FANTASTIC idea. I thought he was hilarious in Majora's Mask, but then I was sad they killed the uniqueness of it by putting him in every game since...but it's come full circle, as I appreciate how long they're keeping this running joke going that so many fans seem to detest. I love it.
