I think it would help bring in new people if they are thinking about picking this game up, also help out newbies. I've been working on some stuff I will post it here cause I'm getting a little tired of working on it maybe some others will like to add/help out..

T:AA (Tribes: Aerial Assault)

Online FPS (First Person Shooter) for the PS2.

BroadBand, DSL, or Dial-up(56k) Capable.

The most popular & funnest type of Gameplay is CTF(Capture The Flag). 2 teams battle to capture each other's flag.

Capture The Flag:

Each team has 1 flag, both are waypointed, your team flag is green, the enemy flag is red.
The map starts with both flags on each teams flagstands, flagstand locations stay the same on any given map.
To grab the enemy flag, you simply touch it with your players body. All you have to do once you have the enemy flag to score a Capture is carry the enemy flag back to your own teams flag & touch it with your players body.

Note* - Your teams flag MUST be on the flagstand to Capture the enemy flag. This is where things can get intresting.

Returing your teams flag: After killing the enemy flag carrier or using concussion gredanes to make them drop your teams flag, you simply touch your teams flag with your players body to return it to your teams flagstand. (You Do NOT carry it back to the flagstand, you can only carry the enemy flag)

Examples on how the scoring works: Storm 612 - Inferno 513

Each time you grab the enemy flag from the enemy flagstand that counts as 1 point, each time you Capture the enemy flag that counts as 100 points.

For example, in the above scores Team Storm has grabbed the Inferno flag from its stand a total of 12 times, but only captured it 6 times, giving them 600 points for the 6 captures plus 12 points for the 12 grabs. Inferno has 513 which means they have had more grabs than Storm, but they are still behind
in total score due to having captured less times than Team Storm. One more Capture for Inferno would put them at 613 & therefore they would win by one touch, or one point.

In T:AA this would be a very close win. Storm could still make for a tie if they themselves only got one more touch before the map ended, a final score of 613 to 613.

Inventory & Armors:

There are three types of Armor available in T:AA each has it's benifits & drawbacks.

Light Armor - Quickset of all armors, can pilot all vehicles, limit of 3 weapons, 5 flares or grenades. Mostly used for Capping the flag.

Medium Armor - Major advantage to being in Medium vs Light is you can carry & deploy Remote Inventory Staitons(RI's), & Remote Turrets, you can also carry the missle launcher with Medium armor. You cannot pilot the Grav Cycle in Medium, all other vehicles though are available to Medium pilots.
Medium Armors can carry 4 weapons.

Heavy Armor - Mastering this armor can make all the difference in any game type. Major advantages to the Heavy Armor are the weapon selection, most notable is the Fusion Mortar, by far the most devastating weapon a player can carry, you can carry 5 weapons in this armor, & deploy RI's & Remote
Turrets. You cannot pilot any vehicle in Heavy Armor but you can get a ride aboard the Transport.

Packs available: Energy, Shield, Ammo, Satchel, Sensors, Turrets, Remote Invo's, Turret Barrels.

I will edit/add as i come up with more. http://www.gamerplug.com/forum/images/steelblue/smilies/headstand.png
