any good deals on cable internet service and cable television?

i'm moving into a new aprtment and i need internet with cable tv. anything thats good out there in Jersey city, NJ?

i was gonna do comcast but they are charging 100 for all three services (phone too) and i don't need that.

any suggestions will be greatly appreciated

Well right now I am using OPtinum and it has been good with downloading.

It is 60.00 alone and now is sappose to be 6MB per second and not 3MB. However the upload is a crappy 10KB per second seeing how I am using Cable.

It is 40.00 with a cable package which is like a rip off since the only channels I like is South Park and Venture Brothers. Then agian if you can get it with the News channels like BBC and CNN along with EPSN then I guess it is worth it.

Again the 60.00 is worth it since I have not seen a blockage in speed and the highest I have gone in a long while is 1MB per second.

ON that note I reccomend checking out T1 and T2 connections or Bussiness
( Right ) setups.

The only reason I do not use DSL since there is no Downlaod limit and I am using my own Broad Band Cable Modem.

Also I have heard it is easy to track people on DSL then CABLE ( you know when downloading).

Etherway I can have ten or more computers hooked up
including game Consoles hooked up and there is no slow downs.

My only problem is the shooty upload. If you like to reap the rewards then give them I would use Optinum. Also Optinum haws this boost thing but they might have to replace your Modem.

Again this question should be asked by a Optinum Employee and not me.

At least this internet is not a tower internet where there is a tower transmittin data everywhere.

my cable company (comcast, now time warner) always has specials and promotional rates going on. call them and ask what promotions they have. i had cable internet for $25/mo for 12 months and digital cable for $30/mo for 12 months. that promotion ended and i paid full price for a couple of months before changing to the promotion i'm on now: cable internet for $35/mo for 6 months and regular cable for $30/mo for 6 months.

And type in your zip code to see if they have any deals. I got 20/month for the first 6 months through Brighthouse here in orlando. And Brighthouse came out and did all the installation too.
