I now fear letting my guirlfriend play in front of the DLP. At least the controller will hold up.

Well I'm glad they mention that "don't let your non-gamer friends" swing like that. I thought it was gonna be more like "OMG SEE, IT BROKE, NINTENDO SUX"

But I think if this is the case, you HAVE to blame those E3 trailers. They were showing people getting REAL serious about some of those games. LOL

Haha that is really funny. The remote didn't break just the strap. I bet if you were to call up Nintendo for the strap they would replace it.

Wow, at least Nintendo's construction is still rock solid as it's always been. I don't want to think about what would've happened to a SIXAXIS in a similar situation; though I'm pretty sure a 360 controller would've just taken out the wall and been fine. ;)

Haha, yeah, I haven't held a wiimote yet, but that sixaxis does feel pretty cheap. Probabaly mostly because of the lack of weight since there aren't rumble motors, but the plastic itself didn't feel that durable.

Hopefully I won't have to test the durability of the wiimote myself...

Wiimote feels pretty solid, without being heavy.

On a side note, I'm really impressed with the size of this thing. When they first unveiled it, through the time I actually got my hands on one a few days ago, I was always worried about the D-pad being too far away to hit while holding it as a remote. But it's perfectly fine.

Wow. Either that strap was defective or the person wielding that Wiimote was swinging it like Bonds after a shot of "supplements."

Anytime you give a girl a strap-on, there's going to be trouble.
