Engadget says Nintendo Confirmed North American DVD playback Wii in 2007

I know this is going to turn into a debate about DVD playback, but I can't see how choice is anything but bad.

I just want a black wii.

I really don't care about DVD playback as I think that would wear out my Wii faster. I'm even keeping my GC around to play GC games to save my Wii. My Wii only gets Wii games !
