My 360 constantly froze on me and then finally gave me the 3 Red Lights of DEATH last Saturday. It actually did this when I put in my own cheap@$$ copy of GoW. CRAP.

So on Sunday I decided to try to play again. Well I was incredibly tired from a long day and I had the 360 laying horizontally. I turned it on with GoW in the drive and once again it tried to start up.... then gave me the 3 Red lights. For some stupid reason I thought I would stand it up vertically. Unfortunately, I didn't realize the disc was still spinning. I stood the 360 up and I heard the noise of the disc being scratched to hell. I first hung my head in shame from the stupid n00b mistake, then opened the disc tray to find my new (never before played) GoW ruined. :(

I haven't even play GoW yet. All I got was to the menu once before it froze!

Please, I hope I win!

EDIT: Of course if I do win, I won't be able to play for another 3 to 4 weeks... how ever long it takes to get the darn thing fixed.

EDIT2: I noticed I didn't type how cheap I was... I went to 3 different stores (Gamestop, CUsa, and BB) to have them PM Fry's ad for $50. That's the most I've paid for a game in... forever. I didn't know this, but Gamestop doesn't take Fry's for PMs. CUsa didn't have any in stock. Thank you BB.

Cheapy i had my money saved for this game and was about to buy it this past weekend, but then what happens. My power brick craps out on me, but i'm thinking it will be all right since i still have a warranty. I bought my 360 in late July then it dies out on me a month later so i return it to microsoft and they send me a new system which arrives the first week of September. Speaking to the guy from customer service, he tells me that my new 360 has a 3 month warranty which will last me from September until December and that i can buy a two year warranty because december. However, when i called M$ about a new power brick, which was on 12/13, the lady tells me that my warranty was never processed so i'm going to have to pay to get a new power brick. She tells me that it's going to cost 79.99, so i tell her i rather buy a two year warranty for 59.99 and then she goes on for about 20 minutes about how i can't buy the warranty since i my warranty is up. So now i have to save up another 20 bucks to buy the warranty and don't have any money left for the game.

I pre-ordered the collector's edition, but I decided it just wasn't worth $70 to me. I don't currently have gold, so the short single player helped with that decision, and the fact that I made a special trip to GS after hours for that video and didn't even get any swag (I was the first person there, they just didn't get anything) dropped my enthusiasm for the game (I know it shouldn't have had an effect, but it did). If I don't win this, I'm going to try to find it (the regular version) used in a GS/EB on Black Friday for a b2g1. I figure that's enough time for someone to have traded it.

i come from a long line of cheapasses. when I was a wee one I thought that a coupon in the paper was a ticket for permission to buy something.

Me: Mom, can I get (insert name of random sugar cereal)?

Mom: No. It's not on sale and I dont have a coupon.

So the only way I would get those coveted sugar cereals was if it was both on sale AND we had a coupon.

The days of paying $50 for games (and now $60) is long behind me. Wait six months and buy the same game for $20. Wait a little longer and get it for $10. I dont even like getting systems when they're new. I remember saying to myself: "$300 for a PS2?!?! I'll wait for the price to drop. " Now it's just sad when I have to say I'm going to WAIT for the price to DROP TO $300.

So give me a coupon for $20 off Gears of War so I can wait for a price drop to $40 so I can buy it for $20 because I'm a cheapass.
