Alright, so I borrowed my older sisters ps2 while she was away studying abroad and now she has returned and taken it back. During the time she was gone, I purchased numerous ps2 games, but now I no longer have a system to play them on. I am seriously thinking about buying a ps2, probably a used one, and I was wondering what things I should look for or avoid. I'm sorry if this question has been asked before, but I was having a difficult time finding the information on google. thanks.

I would recommend investing in a new one. The price was just lowered to $130. The markdown on a used one is not much, and you'd never know how long it would last.

A lot of people returned their used ones due to DREs, so I'd get a new one if I was you.

I bought mine from ebay for 40.00 and it had the disc read error. Called up sony and they replaced it without a problem.
I don't suggest this method because its not guaranteed to work. I was short on cash, needed one to play Soul Calibur 2, and decided to take the risk.
