What type of batteries are you using in your Wiimote?

I'm using the ones that came with my Wiimotes for now, but I ordered some rechargeable batteries online, and they should be here in a few days.

Also regular for now. If anyone can suggest good rechargeable, that'd be great.

i use rayovac nickle metal hydride rechargeable batterie sin all of my electronics. you can usually find them in most stores and that specific brand ( nickle metal hydride) are able to be recharged in any recharger so you dont need to buy a new one if you already have one. they work pretty well and depending on how often you use them you may need to recharge them maybe once a week if not later. i use a aa battery for my mp3 player and after a recharge i can get about a 5 to 7 days worth of play out of them for about 3 and a half to 4 hours of play time per day.
it can get pricy when you start buying batteries to be used in all your items that need batteries but in the long run you save money because when the batteries go dead recharge them . id say buy some try them out and if you like them get more for anythign else you have that needs batteries but when you get those brand be sure to recharge them out of the package before you use them.

Who in their right mind doesn't use recharegable batteries for everything these days?

I just realized that I have a quick charger for my digital camera batteries. Makes it a good idea to start getting rechargable batteries. For now, just using the batteries that were included.

Obviously Nintendo. I thought they were joking when they said double AA's. Hello Nintendo, this is the 21st century try including a rechargable battery next time. Thanks for making me waste more money on ya.

To be fair, I've never seen any battery operated system include rechargeable batteries save for systems that use unique batteries (DS, SP, Micro, and PSP come to mind). The 360 controller not only didn't include batteries at all (I don't think), but demanded AA batteries or their play and charge pack.
The PS3 really is the first all-inclusive rechargeable console controller, I think. At least of those controllers packed into systems.
I was referring to battery use in general; it's environmentally wasteful, and more expensive over time, to buy disposable batteries. Other than the convenience of not having to charge your batteries (which is for the domain of the lazy), there's no reasonable excuse for not owning rechargeables. The new rechargeables (NiMH?) have to be recharged, at most, once per year for all my remote controls. The only thing that eats them alive are our digital cameras; but, since they also devour the energy from disposable batteries, it's a moot point in the end.

Rechargable. Picked up some extra nihm's rechargeables a while back just for that purpose.
Will use he batteries that came with it in other stuff like clocks.

I've been thinking about picking these (http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage.jsp?id=1066095853260&type=product) up, though it seems a bit too high for batteries. Can anyone suggest some good rechargeable batteries, or is Nintendo going to make their own rechargeable battery pack (like the 360)?

You can save about $8 on that set at Sam's Club. I picked up 8AA and 4AAA energizer pack at Sam's for $20 in preparation for all my new gadgets.

How long do the regular batteries that came with the system last?

According to the sites who had the review models, they were working for 2 weeks non-stop at least.

I believe I read somewhere (maybe the Wii manual) that regular batteries should last around 30 hours.

I'm waiting to see how long it takes to go through regular batteries before I invest in rechargables. Would be nice if Nintendo came out with rechargable packs that fit where the batteries go and allow you to plug the Wiimotes into a recharging cradle. But if regular batteries last a good long time, there may not be a compelling enough argument for them.
Whichever you use, please please PLEASE make sure you recycle them when they die. All Best Buys have a bin for them near the entrance. It's my job to write about the solid waste and recycling industry and I'm telling you, batteries are scary stuff when they end up in landfills. Moreover, many states have made it a crime to trash them, and if they're found in your garbage you CAN be prosecuted.

I think I saw an entry for a rechargable battery pack on EB somewhere, probably third party. Though, bear in mind that someone made rechargable packs for Wavebirds, and no one has ever had those work for them.

Rechargeable. Bought four and a charger for ten using a link from some thread here. Two batteries in my 360 wireless, two in my first-player Wiimote.
