So i am going to buy a Wii around Christmas time so i can say that it was a present for me from me and i am not trying to just get another system. I am going to get it from Best Buy and i was wondering would i need to and should i chip in another 50$ for those Customer Service deals? You know the one's BB has. Im asking to see if the Wii will break down as fast as an Ipod or a CPU. If not, i wont need any special offers.

The Wii hardware comes with a 1 year manufacturer's waranty, and if you register on my.nintendo.com you get an extra 3 months.

New shipments will be in every week.

Wait, are you talking about a bundle deal somewhere, or just what comes with a Wii inside the box?
Because you don't need to buy an SD card right now to save games, the system itself has 512mb of internal flash data.

MMM i dont know much about the system so i thought SD was a new way of saying MEM card. So what is the SD for?

SD is a memory card for multiple devices. For example, my camera and Palm use SD cards. Nintendo is selling a Nintendo branded one for $50 to $100....dont buy that.

Instead, keep an eye out in the deals section where some amazing deals (2GB card for $20 shipped) keep popping up.

And to answer what would most likely be part two of that question:

You can use it with the Photo channel, you can backup your downloads, music in games like Excite Truck, and just use it as more storage.

SD in an industry standard data storage card. They are used in digital cameras, mp3 players, phones, and lots of other devices. On the Wii can use it to hold pictures that I believe you can show in slide shows on the Wii. You can also hold music on it, and some games support custom soundtracks, I think Excite Truck does this.
