Just sign up for My Nintendo or if you already have enter the serial numbers on your Wii. Just enter all letters and numbers after "no:" including the boxed number with no spaces.

The wii only comes with a 90 day warranty? Thats pretty short for a Nintendo product.

Its a 1-year-warranty but I believe this extends it for an additional 30 days

It's 1 year warranty, registering your Wii gives you an extra 90 days.

It's an extra 90 days added to the other 90 days, 1 year total

No, that's an EXTRA 90 days. Standard warranty is 1 year - by registering, you're esentially getting 15 months of coverage. Great deal, compared to the other consoles!

????

90+90 = 180 (roughly half a year)

Like a few others have said you get a ONE YEAR WARRANTY with the console, registering it online extends this warranty by 90 days. That means you get a 15 month warranty.

Reading the manual is a good thing sometimes, people.

No! dont register! It is a 1 year warranty and if you register it subtracts 90 days leaving you with 9 months warranty. Glad I could clears this up...

Clear what up? It explicitly states that it is a 90 day extension of the warranty meaning if you register it, the warranty becomes a fifteen month warranty.

When does this expire? Say my Wii goes bad a year down the road when the warranty would be up, can activate it then?
