[Edit - Error is Fixed now.]
I recently received an email for a cheapo special laptop at dell for $499. So i go to the site, don't change the configuration, just check out and add it to my cart, to find out... now the cart price is jacked up $130... seemed weird, tried again same result...

I have now tried to add a number of laptops with 100% reproduction of - adding the item at one price and then getting a different price in my cart.

Just wanted to see if anyone else has/is experiencing this.

BTW - contacted Dell, totally useless, they kept telling me the special is over. To which I tried to explain, it's happening on items straight from the website.

Nah, this is even before all that nonsense... but that's a decent guess... seriously pick a special add it to your cart and the moment it enters the cart the price goes up.

That's not bait and switch, it's false advertising. I suggest you look up the definition of bait and switch.

:applause: Touché

An illegal sales tactic in which a consumer is lured by a low price only to be told that the "special offer" is no longer available and steered to a higher priced product.

False advertising is an act of deliberately misleading a potential client about a product, service or a company in general by reporting false or misrepresenting information or data in advertising or other promotional materials. False advertising is a type of fraud.

Truth be told it was more a False Bait - Minus the switch...sort of.

[Edit] Either way, working now.
